I'm enjoying that Dejal Time Out is currently being highlighted in two places in the Mac App Store: on the home Discover page under Apps and Games We Love Right Now, and the Work page under Master the Menu Bar. Nice!

Oh, and speaking of old things, nobody cares but me, and I don't care all that much, but today is the 27th anniversary of founding my macOS & iOS development company, Dejal. Back in 1991, I wrote utilities for Mac System 5 and later. Such classics as Say It FKEY, that spoke text on the clipboard; QuickEncrypt, an encryption tool; SndConverter Pro to convert batches of system sounds to other formats; and many more.

Since I released Dejal Simon 4.3 yesterday, and posted a screenshot, it seems appropriate that the #ThrowbackThursday post this week be of Simon 2.3 from 2007, running on my old MacBook. #dejus365

I will be in San Jose next week, during WWDC. I won't actually be attending WWDC itself, but will be at AltConf and other events that week. Say hi if you see me, and I'll hand out stickers. More info. #dejus365

Got some Dejal Time Out stickers via Sticker Mule to give out during WWDC week in San Jose. I also seem to have started adding stickers to my iPad Pro (I blame @imyke). #dejus365

Once upon a time, I wrote an app for classic Mac OS called QuickEncrypt, which was localized for Japanese and sold as boxed software, complete with a floppy disk and manual. #dejus365

Hello World!

2018-01-01 · david · dejal · site

Greetings! I am David Sinclair, an indie macOS and iOS app developer. My company is Dejal, where I have a number of apps, and also offer consulting services. This is my new personal blog, where I will post random comments on life, the universe, and everything, plus photos of pizzas, my pet cats and dog, and probably lots of other things that don't fit on the Dejal or other blogs.
